Youth Education Department of Unity of We are here as teachers to guide, to nurture, to love and to honor the Christ within each child. Yes! Jesus Loves You! By Laurie Durgan When I was little, a favorite song of mine that we sang in Sunday School was “Jesus Loves Me.” When I sang that song, it always made me feel good because it reminded me that Jesus’ love and strength were always with me; a part of me. If I ever needed to be reminded of this I could just look in the Bible (Books Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) and read Jesus’ words. The Spirit of Jesus, the “Christ” of Jesus lives forever. The “Christ” is in you and me, and when we read Jesus’ words they are alive with love and they bring us many blessings. The Christ is the power in you that heals guides, loves and calms. It is the power in you that tells you nothing is impossible. The word “weak” in the song only means not remembering to connect with the power and love within you, which is where you get your strength. It is also the love in you that tells you that you are never alone. It is the light in you that guides you to your highest good. It is the Christ within you that hears and answers every prayer. In Unity, we call God within you “the Christ within.” When we read Jesus’ words, the Christ in Jesus greets the Christ in us….and there is love. Jesus’ love is always with you; just take time in quiet to feel it and to remember Him. Easter is a celebration of Jesus’ Christ life. The best way to celebrate Jesus’ life is to read His words, follow His directions and live like He did. Jesus loves you, this I know! Love, love, love you! Miss
