Crystal
is from the Greek
Krystallos, meaning frozen light.
Crystals are said to have metaphysical powers
in conjunction with their amazing beauty. They are believed to
have been used in ancient Atlantis, South America, Egypt, Tibet
and many other cultures all over the world. They have been used
over the centuries for a myriad of purposes – from healing to
protection to decoration. Crystals are thought to work as
conductors, allowing us to focus. We are energy and crystals
are energy. They enable us to communicate with our higher level
of consciousness. Our attraction to a beautiful crystal is much
more than to its shape or color. It is the positive vibrations
and the specific meaning of the shape to you.
Dragonfly
– live life to its fullest. Change, positive force and power of
life. It also represents good luck, prosperity, swiftness, harmony
and strength, happiness, courage and subconscious thought.
Butterfly
- new beginning, creativity, beauty emerging, new awareness. Can
also signify joy and bliss.
Angel
- messenger from God. It represents our most spiritual ideals, and
is a special symbol of pure love.
Sphere
- harmony, beauty and balance. It also signifies completeness and
wholeness. Beginnings and endings, the four directions and the four
elements of life (air, water, fire and earth.)
Cross
- mystic symbol representing a holy balance of opposites, the
celestial and the earthly. Infinite love. Hope, Christianity.
Heart
- love and bliss. Called the center of true love and thought to
represent our emotions.
In Feng Shui, intentional placement of crystals is
done to attract specific energies and positive outcomes. All uses
lead to a single goal – creating the best possible energy in your
home or office.
Crystals are the perfect gift to give not
only to others but to yourself. Why, you ask? Perhaps it’s that
people love looking at crystals because their many different facets
create such unique images.
Looking at a crystal from various directions gives
you many perspectives on a piece. The beautiful rainbow of colors
seen reflected by the sun through crystal prisms are truly amazing.
Our imaginations soar and our cares seem to melt away for the time
we are gazing at the crystals.
