Paul A. Krasker, Esq., Chairman Unity School Advisory Board, is a name shareholder within the commercial department of the law firm of Moyle, Flanigan, Katz, Breton, White & Krasker, P.A. in West Palm Beach. Mr. Krasker practices in the areas of real property, business and general corporate law. Mr. Krasker is a graduate of Skidmore College and Cornell Law School, and completed a political studies program at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is a native of Boston, Massachusetts and currently resides in the El Cid neighborhood of West Palm Beach with his wife, Amy and their twin daughters, Samantha and Lucy. |

Rev. Nancy Norman, CEO Unity of Delray Beach, Minister Unity Church Nancy Norman is a native of California. She attended Stephens College in Columbia Mo. and Unity Seminary, Unity Village, Mo and was ordained in 1988. Nancy lived for 17 years in Caracas, Venzuela and Mexico City, Mexico. She has been with Unity of Delray Beach since 1992. Nancy has 2 grown children, Rev. Cathy Norman and Chris Norman. |

Maria Barber, Unity School Headmistress, Maria was born and raised in Commack, Long Island. She first attended C. W. Post College in Old Westbury, New York. In 1972 when Maria’s family moved to Florida, she transferred to Florida Atlantic University receiving her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education. Maria went on to earn her Masters Degree in Educational Curriculum in 1976 from FAU. Maria became a certified Florida Teacher Evaluator and since 1986 has continued to serve on the accreditation team for the Florida Council of Independent Schools. In 1988 Maria earned a specialist degree in Education from FAU enhanced by training in all core areas of the Montessori Curriculum at the prestigious South Montessori Training Center. She is a graduate of both the Boca Raton and Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce Leadership Programs. In 1989 Maria was honored by the South Florida Business Journal with one of their “Up and Comers Award” in education. In 2001 she was appointed as the USA representative for Peaceful Schools International. Maria continues to attend classes in Brain Development and Applications, so that she remains current in the field. In 2006 she received the Administrator of the Year Award from the prominent Florida Music Educators Association and was recognized by the City of Delray Beach for the School Showcase of the Arts. Maria taught for ten years in public schools in the areas of special education, gifted education, and adult education. She taught first through fifth grades. She has lectured and presented workshops throughout the county on learning modalities, specific learning deficits, creative techniques, and parent instruction for learning disabled children. Maria accepted the position of Head of School in 1985. Maria enjoys cooking and spending time with friends and family. Rich, her husband, and her two daughters, Joann (’94) and Katie (’96) (both Unity graduates), continue to support and inspire her dedication to the Unity School Mission. A new milestone in the Barber Family was the birth of Rich and Maria’s first grandchild, Giavanna Marie (anticipated graduation date of 2022!). Maria credits her happiness to both her family and her good fortune to be serving the parents, staff and children at Unity School. |

Margo Cohen, Assistant Head Mistress & Middle School Social Studies Teacher, is originally from Ft. Wayne, Indiana. She has her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Ball State University and her Master of Arts Degree in Political Communication from the University of Maryland. After teaching in both Indiana and Maryland, Margo worked on Capitol Hill as a legislative assistant in the Senate before moving to Florida. Prior to coming aboard as a full-time teacher in 1991, Margo had been a part of the Unity family for many years as a parent, volunteer, Girl Scout leader, and substitute teacher. Margo’s daughter, Heather, and son, Adam, are both Unity graduates. Heather and her husband, Justin, live in Gainesville, and Adam is a graduate of Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach. Margo resides in Boynton Beach and is looking forward to a great year in the Middle School. |

Diane Shawcross, Advisory Council Secretary, Director of Advancement was born and raised in Longmeadow, MA, received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Boston University and a Masters in Business Administration in Finance from New York University. She was affiliated with large corporations such as Bank of New York, Chase Manhattan Bank, and Citicorp. Diane has two children both graduates of Unity School and has been on the staff of Unity School since 1998. She considers it to be a privilege to count herself and her children as part of the Unity Family. |
Cary Glickstein, President of Ironwood Properties, was born and raised in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, received a BA degree from the University of Hawaii and a JD degree from the University of Miami Law School. Cary and his wife, Debbie, live in Delray Beach, and have seen one daughter, Madison, graduate from Unity School, while Lily, 9, and Jack, 7, are making their way there. We are grateful for the many great experiences and memories at Unity School and our looking forward to many more. |

Anne Geddes, has masters degrees from Columbia University, Teachers College in both Reading and Learning Disabilities as well has her BA from Connecticut College with a joint major in English Literature and Elementary Education. She has worked at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital as a language and learning therapist and conducted reading therapy and educational evaluations with the Center for Educational and Psychological Services at Teachers College, Columbia University. Anne was a classroom teacher at the prestigious Nightingale-Bamford School, prior to her becoming the assistant to the Head of the Lower School. Anne and Henry Geddes have Olivia in first grade and Charles in Kindergarten. |

Louis St-Laurent, Faculty Representative, Music and Band Director, is originally from Montreal, Canada. In the ‘70s, his family moved to Florida and he attended public schools in Palm Beach County. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education from the University of South Florida and a Master of Music Education from the Florida State University. He has been a music educator for 27 year. He was selected as clinician to the Palm Beach County All-District Middle Schools Honor Band, which performed at the Kravis Center. Louis has also received numerous local honors and awards, including Teacher of the Year 2000, WPEC’s Educator of Excellence, and the Deaver Foundation Award in 2006. He and his wife Donna have two boys, Jacques André and Dominique. Mr. St-Laurent is excited to have the opportunity to work with “the wonderful students and staff at Unity.” |
Bob McCann, VP, Unity Church of Delray Beach Board of Directors. Member of Unity Church for 15 years, assist with Sunday services and prosperity coffee.

Originally from Toledo, Ohio, Graduate of the University of Toledo, currently residing in Boca Raton for 20 years.
Employed as a mortgage broker for 5 years specializing in International Markets and Financing in the UK and property within the State of Florida.
Volunteered for Wayside House, Delray Beach, Fl. for 14 years as child supervisor and continue to mentor a child for the past 13 years.
My passion is writing and currently am completing a book, yet to be published.
Hobbies include, 11 years rollerblading, tennis, golfing, swimming, dancing, public speaking/mentoring children, vacations in the Keys and EU.
I enjoy giving my time to Unity Church and Unity School and working with the wonderful people. |

Gerald E "Gerry" Meeks, Unity Church of Delray Beach Board of Directors, was born in Dallas, TX and raised in Shreveport, LA. He attended Southern Methodist University, and graduated from the University of Nebraska. He was a career USAF pilot and retired after approximately thirty years service. Gerry has been in the Real Estate Profession since 1976, and is a partner with his wife Ann Alexander. Their children live in Delray Beach and Kenosha, WI. They enjoy traveling, playing golf and spending time with their children and grandchildren They both love Unity Church and School where they have been members over 30-years. They believe Unity School is a "shining light" in the community, and in the lives of children who attend and have attended this wonderful school.
